MADELINE'S CHRISTMAS WISH & ENTICING MISS EUGENIE VILLARET giveaway with Ella Quinn

Thank you so much for having me back on your blog!!

Ah, Christmas it’s just around the corner. Noooo!! I hear someone screaming. We have Halloween and Thanksgiving to get through first!! Well, that is true. Except publisher, for some unknown reason want to release Christmas books in October, and we are in the early part of the 19th century England, and with this book, France, so Advent is less than a month away, and no one celebrates either Halloween or Thanksgiving. But wait, if you’ve been following the release tour for Madeleine’s Christmas Wish, you’ll know I’ve already talked about how the holiday is celebrated on the continent. What I haven’t done is discuss Christmas in the U.S., but we already know all about that.

So I’m going to give you an opportunity to talk about how you feel about all the Christmas stuff in the stores right beside the Halloween costumes and candy. Do you think it’s too early? My husband certainly does, and I get to hear about it every time we enter a store. Or are you happy that you are being encouraged to get a jump on Christmas? When do you think is the right time?

Ella's giving away a print copy (Sorry, U.S. only) of Enticing Miss Eugenie Villaret to one (1) lucky commenter who answers her question.  Good luck y'all!

Madeleine’s Christmas Wish
The bachelors in Ella Quinn’s Marriage Game series make a habit of resisting the irresistible. But during the season for giving, surrendering to temptation may be the greatest gift of all…
A French spy, Georges, Marquis Cruzy-le-Châtel, has lived in England for years, sacrificing his life for his country—but not his heart. For he’s never been able to forget his childhood friend, Madeleine. And now, in her hour of need, he is there to rescue her…
The victim of a ruthless statesman, Madeleine, Comtesse du Beaune, has been abducted and sent to England to work in a brothel. Her greatest wish is to return home for Christmas, and her only hope of it is to marry Georges—though she will be his wife in name alone. Yet as they steal across the snowy countryside, Georges decides to woo her—with kisses that melt the winter’s frost and leave her longing for a holiday miracle…

  1. I think Christmas shopping can be done at any time of the year. As for decorations, etc. those need to wait until Black Friday. That's soon enough to be decking the halls. Let Halloween & Thanksgiving have their day!

    1. Hi Cindy, I completely agree. Although, our date to put up decorations is mid-December. Thank you for stopping by!

  2. I'm one of those who doesn't want to see Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving. As far as planning ahead and buying gifts, that can be done anytime - as long as you remember where you put the presents! Not that I've every forgotten about something a bought way ahead of time . . . . ;-)

    1. I can't tell you how often I've bought presents through out the year and then forgotten where I put them, Glenda.

  3. I agree-Christmas decorations should go up after Thanksgiving. I don't mind shopping all year if I find what I am looking for, but my 'holiday' closet is only so big, and kids tend to snoop!

    1. I used to threaten mine. If they found a present, it went back. After that, Hubby was the only one who snooped.

  4. I resent seeing Christmas before Halloween--maybe because I love the Christmas season so much and having it stretch out over a third of the year makes it more ordinary. And Ella, I am famous in the family for discovering Christmas presents I bought early and forgot about entirely until months later. There's something lacking about handing out a Christmas present in, say, April.

    1. Or the next year, Beppie! I agree. Each season should have it's own time. I don't know why stores feel the need to rush everyone.
